Students compete in business skills at Iowa Central

Twenty area high schools were represented by 230 students at Iowa Central Community College Business Competition Day, held April 8 on the campus in Fort Dodge. Students competed in 28 different business-related skills.

Greene County High School students swept the Office Calculators competition, with Kayla Mobley placing first, Jordan Hostetler placing second, and Tim Eischeid placing third.

Students placed in the top three spots in other competitions as follows:

  • Business Communications – Hannah Onken, third place
  • Internet Treasure Hunt – Brittany Richardson and Faith Hanson, third place
  • Intro to Business – Faith Hanson – first place; Dylan McConnell, third place
  • Word Processing Applications – Hannah Onken, first place

Business and technology teachers are Teresa Green, Mavis Sawhill and Tony Beger.
